Weekend trip to BR Hills
Lush green forest. A narrow and perfectly tarred road winding through it. A fallen tree blocking the road right at the middle! Believe it or not, this was the best part of our trip to BR hills on a May 2019 weekend. For those who do not know, Biligiri Ranganathaswami Hills, popularly known as BR Hills is a forest range tucked away in the eastern part of the Western ghats. Located right at the border between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, it is known to be the place where the notorious Veerappan used to roam. His place is now taken over by tourists, who can sometimes be as notorious! However, this makes it an ideal one night weekend destination from Bangalore.
